FPC Pre production Processing

The pre-production treatment plays a crucial role in avoiding excessive open and short circuits, which often result in the scrapping and replenishment of FPC boards. These issues significantly reduce the yield and can be minimized through the reduction of drilling, calendering, cutting, and other rough processes. Additionally, the selection of materials becomes vital in achieving optimal results for FPC boards, satisfying customer requirements. Thus, it is imperative to prioritize the pre-production treatment, as it sets the foundation for a successful production process.

During the pre-production phase, the engineers are responsible for conducting three essential processes. The first process is the evaluation of the FPC board engineering of the customer, which aims to determine if the FPC board can be manufactured based on the available production capacity and whether its cost is within the customer's budget. Once the project evaluation is approved, the second process is to procure all the necessary materials to ensure a steady supply throughout the production cycle. Lastly, the engineers will work on processing the customer's CAD structure diagram, and gerber line data to ensure their adaptability to the production environment and equipment specifications. After generating production drawings and MI data, all information is then handed over to document control, procurement, and production departments to facilitate the regular production process.
